In the July issue of the “subradar meets” video series, you get the opportunity to become better acquainted with Michael Duch, one the most prominent Norwegian bass players in the realm of improvised and contemporary music. He talks about his influences from John Cage and Cornelius Cardew and how their ideas can be inflicted upon improvisation among other things.

Subradar has also had the pleasure of meeting Evan Parker and Peter Brötzman recently. These interviews will be published as videos in August and September, so keep an eye out! The previous interviews with Paal Nielssen-Love, Lasse Marhaug, Ivar Grydeland and Kim Myhr can be seen here.

The latest addition to the subradar label list is Tektite records. Tektite is the run by the Norwegian bassist Ingebrigt Håker Flaten and they are located in Houston, Texas. For this fall we have several very interesting labels lined up, so please stay tuned and follow us at the subradar site and in other media.

Subradar will take a brief summer holiday and be back august 4th so see you then!!
