Horst Quartet is a Finnish band formed in 2010 which has released several cassettes and two CDs. In the recent years though, their latest work has not been published. Now their original free improvisation is mixed with electro-acoustic experiments and working with the space. Their new album Edged Timbre, released by Intonema label, states exactly these new trends in the work of these Finnish musicians. The result is on the edge of music and sound art; sound structures built in real time; sound concentrated on itself; acoustic instruments, preparations and electronics.
